Click on the tab on the top

You can share you samples with specific users. To share means that the users of your samples will be able to make operations with them. If you give manager access to your samples, then all the managers have the same rights as you.

digiclear:sharesamples.png

  1. First select the sample you want to manage.
  2. Then on the right list you can add a user name to the list.
  3. Just write the beginning of the last name or the first name then pick up who you want.
  4. Finally you can choose the level of rights you want to give to the person, it can be simple user or manager.
  5. By clicking the Remove Parent you can remove users from the list.
  6. Do not forget to save your changes by clicking on Save Changes

The parent of a sample is the original sample on which the current sample has been extracted. For example if you cut a wafer in smaller pieces, then the wafer is a parent of the new samples, aka the smaller pieces.
Then the history of the samples will be the full history of the sample and the parent of the sample. Of course it is recursive, so the history of the the parent of the parent of the smaple will be displayed.
You should not be allowed to choose a parent that is also a child in the liste of the parents of the sample. So it should be impossible to make a loop in the history.
If the sample is made by “sticking” two samples then you can put two parents. You can “stick” as much samples as you want.

To give parents:

digiclear:parentsample.png

  1. first on the right side of the Settings choose in the list of active samples the parent name.
  2. you can do it again for the cas of “sticking” several samples in one new sample.
  3. By clicking the red cross you can remove parent's samples from the list.Remove Parent
  4. Do not forget to save changes by clicking Save Changes
  5. if the parent of your sample do not exist, you can fist create a new sample and then come back to this menu to select the parent

Notes :

  • if you add operations for this new parent then the timeline of the history will be wrong.
  • prefer to add more samples and deactivate them if not used, it is better than getting aq wrong timeline.
  • the data about samples are really light so you can create as many samples as you want. It is better than adding data postmortem.
